Your Hand Is

1 min · 1 min left

In the supple closure of muddy walls stands an old man grimacing over the loss of his mate your words having descended from on high, penetrate the arid spaces within his mind his brokenness overwhelming him openly persist your hand, is comforts hand embracing the round of his shoulder it soothes.

Covered by gray smoldering particles the souls of the innocent sleep only memories linger as a collage of warm Sudanese faces fill the canvas spread across magazine pages and grace each living room screen lifting tear filled eyes your hand, is empathy's hand wrapping around the heart of a nation it eases.

Far off in a meager and remote land lie small bodies cold on the earth's ground frail and alone whimpering falling to your knees in supplication the spirit penetrates their limbs warms the marrow in their bones and cradles the precious jewels your hand, is consciousness hand enveloping minds, bodies and spirits it loves.
